Million dollar bacon crostinis

Step 1: Lay 1 pack of thick cut bacon on a wire rack on a foil-lined baking sheet.

Step 2 (make bacon topping): Combine 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tbsp water, pepper, and cayenne. Brush this topping over the tops of the bacon. Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes, flipping half way through and adding a thin layer of the topping on the other side.

Step 3 (make spread): Combine 3 oz goat cheese and 1 oz whipped cream cheese with cracked pepper. (If you don’t like goat cheese, just cream cheese will work!)

Step 4: Slice a baguette, spread with olive oil, and bake until toasty.

Let the bacon cool, then dice it. Assemble crostinis by spreading the cheese mixture on the toasted baguette slices, topping with diced bacon. Top with parsley or chives!
